'98 ELECTIONS

Republican Kelly Alcon says he wants to be Bernalillo County's next assessor so he can restore fairness in how properties are valued and ensure that tax rolls are up to date.

And Alcon believes he has the right blend of experience and enthusiasm to lead the office in the right direction.

It's that experience Alcon says sets him apart from his Democratic opponent, former assessor Mark Carrillo.

Alcon, who beat current Assessor David Kirk Anderson in the Republican primary in June, said he is the most qualified and experienced candidate in the race.
