Kiev, 15 July: An Iraqi diplomat has confirmed Baghdad's intention to develop cooperation with Ukraine, in spite of the pressure he says the US is using to frustrate these relations.

"We will not give in to the pressure from the US, and will continue working with Ukraine," Iraqi representative in Ukraine Hisham Ibrahim told a news conference at Interfax-Ukraine today.

Western mass media earlier reported that Ukraine allegedly supplied arms to Iraq, thus violating the sanctions imposed after the Gulf War in 1991. …
