(From Hull Daily Mail)
Swanland plane-spotter Mike Bursell is due to be flown back to England tonight, ending his five-week Greek nightmare.
The BT communications manager will be reunited with his wife Sylvia when his plane lands at Luton Airport shortly before 10pm.
Mrs Bursell, a doctor at Hull Royal Infirmary, was travelling to London today for the emotional reunion with her husband after raising GBP10,000 in 24 hours to secure his release.
Before leaving for the drive south, Mrs Bursell finally put up her Christmas decorations to welcome her husband home.
Surrounded by cards and flowers from well-wishers, she said: "I managed to get all the money from friends and family digging deep.
"After all these weeks, I'm just so relieved he is coming home." Speaking from his prison cell after he was told he was coming home, Mr Bursell said he was prepared to spend another night in jail because of the delays in processing the money.
