GoVideo and Cinevision Brand DVD Players Now Available
Zoran Corporation announced its advanced Vaddis DVD multimedia processor is powering two new DVD player models from SONICblue's GoVideo(R) division.
The new Vaddis-based Cinevision(R) brand DVP650 DVD player, which comes in a slim compact design half the size of a traditional DVD player, is now available at retail outlets.
The new GoVideo DVP950 DVD player model, also in a slim line design with a front panel display, is shipping to retailers this month.
Both new models play DVDs, Video CDs, Music CDs, HDCDs, and CD-R and DC-RW disks. The Vaddis enables Dolby Digital and DTS outputs for high-quality surround sound applications and provides 10-bit video digital to analog conversion plus 27 megahertz advanced digital filtering for the best quality video output.
"We are pleased to introduce two new world-class DVD player models using Zoran's high quality DVD processor chips," said Ed Brahchocki, vice president video and audio products, SONICblue. "Zoran's excellent support has assisted in bringing these two new players to market quickly."
"Zoran is pleased to have established a strategic relationship with SONICblue. These new GoVideo DVD players are just the first products coming to market that blend both our strategic technologies. We are collaborating on many new and exciting products that will address the wide range of consumer electronics markets where we can leverage the expertise of both companies," said Camillo Martino, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Zoran Corporation.
