Slovakia Global warming a reality SLOVAK climate experts have said changes that took place in the country over the last century have left visible marks on the central European state and have contributed to global warming. Since the start of the 20th century, the average annual temperature in Slovakia has risen 1.1 Celsius. Other changes, however, are more visible.
