(From Hull Daily Mail)
A Unique project developed by urban regeneration specialist Dransfield Properties Ltd is set to become the first of its kind in the country - combining a shopping centre with tailor made space for a brand new health centre.
Architects Dixon Dawson have come up with a design for the spacious medical centre which includes three lifts and a staircase as well as two foyers, the centre itself is 36,000 sq ft which incorporates scope for further expansion in the future.
The project is being put forward as part of the second phase of the St Andrew's Retail Park in Hull.
The first phase of the retail park was completed last year and eight retailers now occupy units. The development has transformed a run down row of old Victoria shops into a new thriving retail centre.
Dransfield Properties Now Dransfield Properties is working towards the next phase of the scheme which will see the development of the new state of the art health centre alongside further retail development.
The scheme will enable three GP practices to move from their old premises into the first floor above the retail units. The new health centre will meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act which comes into force in 2004 and is likely to classify many older GP practices as unsuitable.
