I'm sharing "Ecstatic Birth" (March-April 2002) with everyone I know. I especially love the little section regarding undisturbed birth. Finally, a term that really fits what I did! I've been calling my daughter's birth unassisted but undisturbed fits so much better. You even use the same example that I do: giving birth is exactly like making the baby. I didn't need anyone but my husband to get pregnant, why would I need anyone else while giving birth?

It is a very valuable tool to bring science to nonmedical minds, especially in a field where women must make the most important decisions of their lives.
