I'm sharing "Ecstatic Birth" (March-April 2002) with everyone I know. I especially love the little section regarding undisturbed birth. Finally, a term that really fits what I did! I've been calling my daughter's birth unassisted but undisturbed fits so much better. You even use the same example that I do: giving birth is exactly like making the baby. I didn't need anyone but my husband to get pregnant, why would I need anyone else while giving birth?

I'd like to thank Sarah Buckley for enlightening me and sharing her knowledge in a way I could appreciate and understand. It is a very valuable tool to bring science to nonmedical minds, especially in a field where women must make the most important decisions of their lives. Articles such as this one, well researched and shared with ease, are such a gift. Without them, women would have virtually no idea of the importance of preserving their natural chemistry.
