Plans to develop the Brookfield Square area will be taken up next month, after the city's Plan Commission tabled a report detailing the use of $161 million in public and private money for the redevelopment.
Members of the city's Community Development Authority, however, voted Wednesday night to accept the report.
"Representatives of the consultant team presented their report," said Patrick Drinan, Brookfield's economic development coordinator. "It was the first opportunity at a public meeting to verbally present the report."
Dan Ertl, Brookfield's director of CDA, said the Plan Commission wanted time to ask further questions on the report.
"It will be taken up sometime next month," he said.
Ertl said that no plans have been delayed for the project even though the Plan Commission will not vote until September.
