Government review identifies 25 exemplary prevention programs.(Brief Article)

A government-sponsored scientific review of more than 200 substance abuse prevention programs across the country has led to 25 programs receiving an Exemplary Substance Abuse Prevention Program Award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

An additional five programs have been designated as promising programs under the federal agency's ongoing effort to identify and disseminate information about what's producing consistently positive results in prevention practice.
