] BIG LOTTERY FUND SPN 05-10-11 31 October 2005 VIEWERS GET READY TO PICK GBP50,000 LOTTERY WINNERS
Television viewers are getting ready to pick the winners in a bonanza of GBP50,000 cash awards from the Big Lottery Fund in the televised People's Millions contest which kicks off today (Tuesday) in the ITV Border region.
GBP2.5 million in Big Lottery Fund cash is up for public vote this week. Projects in each ITV region are going head-to-head on television to win one of the 50 awards of up to GBP50,000 cash.
Winners will be announced across ITV regional news the day following each vote.
One hundred projects are competing for the cash roll-out to help make their community a better place to live. Viewers will see the projects on TV and vote by phone and text to support their favourite.
