Section: Corporate News - Unilever Thai Trading Ltd on Wednesday started a new campaign for its Clinic Clear line, the largest player in the fast-growing health shampoo market, The Nation reports.

The company has earmarked Bt50 million for this year's Clear Confidence Zone campaign aimed at reinforcing Clinic's position as the first "total head care" brand, said Wannipa Bhakdibutra, vice president for personal care.

"We are quite optimistic that Clinic Clear will once again create a big thrill and excitement in the market through the Clear Confidence Zone campaign. This time around, we are not only giving consultations and expert advice on proper hair and scalp care, but also on grooming and personality development," she said.

Clinic Clear's share of the Bt6.5 billion shampoo market jumped from 16 per cent last year to 18.7 per cent as of last month, according to AC Nielsen. And its hair conditioner has already snared 7 per cent of the Bt2-billion hair conditioner market after its launch only two months ago.

Clinic Clear, an anti-dandruff shampoo, also has a 70-per-cent share of the health shampoo segment, which makes up one-third of the shampoo market.
