Section: Corporate News - Cerebos (Thailand) Co Ltd, manufacturer of Brand's essence of chicken and birds' nest beverages, plans to visit its 16 export markets to reassure consumers and trade partners that its products are free of bird flu, The Nation reports.

Cerebos will use a method tried and tested in Thailand when the country was first hit by bird flu. The company will explain to consumers that all products go through the production process at between 70 degrees and 90 degrees Celsius, as well as a sterilisation process. In addition, all raw chickens used in the process come from closed farms, said Lackana Leelayouthayotin, chief executive of Cerebos (Thailand).

All customers and trade partners will be invited to visit the company's factory.

Its foreign education effort won't require a special budget because Cerebos normally visits its export markets once every year.

The company's main export markets are the United Kingdom and Canada. Lackana said it's still too early to say whether the first European outbreaks of bird flu have affected sales of Brand's products there.

The company has no plans for a domestic ...
