Section: Corporate News - Nokia Thailand is confident it can maintain leadership in the local handset market next year thanks to the introduction of new third-generation services and growth upcountry, the Bangkok Post reports.
The company estimated handset sales industry-wide this year would be seven to eight million units, driven primarily by the replacement market.
"We are bullish on the Thai market, particularly in the fastest-growing corporate mobile-phone segment, thanks to the boom of wireless data communication demand," said Bob McDougall, managing director of Nokia Thailand.
