Section: Corporate News - The Administrative Court on Friday dismissed a lawsuit by True Corp against state-owned TOT Corp over the latter's Y-Tel 1234 domestic long-distance service, the Bangkok Post reports.

True had sought damages of 622 million baht from TOT in the case.

The company has filed an appeal against the judgment. The court said True was not justified to claim damages as the Y-Tel service was an Internet Protocol-based system that was outside of the scope of its original concession with TOT Plc.

True had claimed that it suffered damages after TOT began the low-cost calling service, undercutting rates charged by True. The suit sought damages relating to losses incurred since Oct 1, 2001. True had also sought a court order against TOT for ...
