TAIPEI, Oct 31 Asia Pulse - Share prices on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed 2.33 per cent higher Monday, with the weighted index, the market's key barometer, moving up 131.33 points to close at 5,764.3.

The bourse opened at 5,692.82 and fluctuated between 5,774.61 and 5,681.2 during trading.
