SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's exports reached a new monthly high of US$25.71 billion in October thanks to strong shipments of cars, ships and machinery, the government said Tuesday.
Last month's customs-cleared exports were up 13.4 per cent from a year earlier, while imports climbed 11.6 per cent to .78 billion, according to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy.
The nation's trade surplus thus amounted to $2.93 billion last month, compared with a $2.07 billion surplus the previous month. The cumulative trade surplus stood at $20.46 billion in the first 10 months of the year.
