JAKARTA, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Until October 10, 2005, Indonesia had been accused by 10 different countries, including Malaysia, Thailand and New Zealand, of indulging in dumping practices, and the three countries have been imposing an anti-dumping import duty on products and commodities from Indonesia.
"Some of the charges faced by Indonesia were dumping and subsidy charges by the United States of certain lined paper and school supplies, Polyethylene Terephtalate (PET) and Turkish charges against Laminated Parquet products from Indonesia," Minister of Trade Mari Pangestu told the press in Jakarta Monday.
Charges against dumping of PET products also came from South Africa and Malaysia, while Argentine has charged Indonesia of dumping bicycles.
Thailand, meanwhile, charged Indonesia of dumping glass blocks.
The Commission of the European Union, he added, has also issued an alert notification on a rejection of egg noodle products from Indonesia and New Zealand has charged Indonesia of dumping its oil filters.
