SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - China surpassed the United States as the biggest exporter of agricultural products to South Korea in the January-September period as local consumers turned to cheaper Chinese farm produce, the government said Tuesday.

Agricultural imports from China rose 33.5 per cent year-on-year to US$2.6 billion during the period, exceeding those from the U.S., according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Imports from the U.S. sank 21.9 per cent to $1.7 billion.
