SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's unionized truck drivers decided Monday to roll back their plan to stage a general strike and accept compromise measures presented by the government.
The decision came from a vote of members of the union, affiliated with the militant Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.
The Korea Cargo Transport Workers Union said that 94.4 per cent of its 7,500 members nationwide participated in the ballot and 59.7 per cent of them voted against the planned strike.
