Television viewers are getting ready to pick the winners in a bonanza of GBP50,000 cash awards from the Big Lottery Fund in the televised People's Millions contest which kicks off today in ITV regions across the UK.
GBP2.5 million in Big Lottery Fund cash is up for public vote this week.
Projects in each ITV region are going head-to-head on television to win one of the 50 awards of up to GBP50,000 cash.
Winners will be announced across ITV regional news the day following each vote.
One hundred projects are competing for the cash roll-out to help make their community a better place to live. Viewers will see the projects on TV and vote by phone and text to support their favourite.
The Big Lottery Fund and ITV have teamed up to bring viewers the People's Millions, a ground-breaking scheme, the biggest in the history of the National Lottery, giving viewers a real say on where lottery funding will go to benefit their community.
Projects aiming for Lottery support are all offering ways of improving their local environment.
Projects will be showcased on ITV regional news from Monday 31 October to Friday...
