Chairman Ma Ying-jeou of the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) yesterday lashed out at President Chen Shui-bian for having cheated all citizens by saying that he had little knowledge of the involvement of his former aide Chen Che-nan in profiteering.

Ma noted that Chen Che-nan has been a heavyweight aide to President Chen since the latter assumed the post as Taipei Mayor, and has been involved in many major scandals.
