Harry Potter book longer in French

PARIS, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- The French translation of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," or "Harry Potter et le Prince de Sang-Mele," is 120 pages longer than the English version.

The latest Harry Potter novel is 720 pages long in French because words and phrases in French are usually longer. For example, "he who must not be named" becomes in French 'celui dont on ne doit pas pronouncer le nom," reported the Sunday Telegraph.
