London, Oct 28 (PTI) About 70 sacked Indian workers of Gate Gourmet, which caters in-flight food to British Airways, have urged Prime Minister Tony Blair to order a public inquiry into the employment practices of the company.

In a lengthy representation, the workers, mostly women from Punjab and Gujarat, said: "We would urge you to conduct a public inquiry into the sacking of workers and the employment practices of the company Gate Gourmet, world's largest supplier of in-flight meals internationally." Despite making huge profits, the company had behaved in a "high-handed manner" with them, the workers said in their representation.
