Section: Regional News - "Blue Book" - an annual official report of the European Union's assistance to Vietnam's development has been released, announced Robert Gordon, Ambassador of the UK which is currently President of the EU, at a press briefing in Hanoi on Oct. 27.

According to the book, the EU, the largest donor of Vietnam, disbursed 326.8 million euros through its programmes and projects in the country in 2004. Of the figure, non-refundable aid made up about 76 percent while credits and loans - 23.6 percent. The cumulative commitments for on-going EU projects in Vietnam amounted to 2,869 million euros in 2004, of this 1,118 …
