Oct. 28--South Florida businesses that have power and phone service are scrambling to get their stormbattered employees back to work. For many, it meant making concessions or offering incentives.
Children, out of school at least through this week, occupied cubicles and cafeterias at most companies that were able to reopen. At Mercy Hospital in Miami, a number of children tagged along with parents, although they were prohibited from certain areas of the hospital such as the emergency room.
