KATHLEEN HAYS, CNNfn ANCHOR, THE FLIPSIDE: Our Financial Editor Myron Kandel, joins us now with his commentary on the Google IPO. He says the guys behind the deal are his heroes. This is no light theme because Myron, has known a lot of people in his life. And followed a lot of business people.
So if these are his heroes, they should be listening up.
MYRON KANDEL, CNNfn FINANCIAL EDITOR: You know Larry Page, Sergey Brin, who started Google just five and a half years ago while they were graduate students at Stanford. A really terrific thing. Maybe villains to Wall Street, but they`re heroes to individual investors. And there aren`t many almost overnight billionaires who I would consider heroes, but I think these guys really do it.
I like the way they are offering the stock to the public. It`s going to be sort of a Dutch auction, as you indicated. If anybody gets carried away by the price of the stock, it`s their own fault. But it isn`t the investment bankers that are going to make it big in this case.
The investment banking fees, although they`re going to be substantial, will be about $100 million less than...
