Read this book and give it to everyone you know who is responsible for online content. The excellent advice covers writing for Web pages, e-mail, newsletters, ads, and any other content you might read on screen. The author was a traditional journalist for many years. He then moved into new media and is currently managing director of a U.K.-based online marketing and Web publishing company. He obviously knows his stuff and is able to convey the ideas in a clear and concise manner.

The book starts with chapters on the basic differences between reading online versus offline, and develops the fundamentals to help you "say the right thing in the right way to the right person." Then separate chapters

are devoted to writing for Web pages, e-mail, search engines, ads, and other media forms such as blogs, text messaging, and online catalogs. Each chapter ends with a checklist...
