Oct. 27--OCALA -- Trustees of Ocala Regional Medical Center voted Wednesday night to quit the business of delivering babies, leaving Munroe Regional Medical Center as the only hospital in Marion County providing labor and delivery services.
The decision by Ocala Regional's board of trustees ends the hospital's 10-year-old obstetrics program at the end of January. Women in their third trimester still wishing to deliver at the hospital will be able to do so.
