Oct. 26--Contracts to rebuild the Gulf Coast after a devastating hurricane represent a bonanza for minority-owned businesses, conferees at a national suppliers convention were told Tuesday in Dallas.
"I believe out of any adverse situation comes great opportunities," said Phala K. Mire, head of the Louisiana Minority Business Council. "There is probably an unprecedented bonanza of contracting opportunities to come out of this."
