LIFE OUTSIDE OF BASEBALL: I still play it. I never left baseball. I've played all over--the U.S., Canada, Cuba, the former Soviet Union and China. I never quit. I also hunt and fish and live off the land.
PEOPLE WHO INFLUENCED ME THE MOST/WHY? My dad did. Also, the University of Southern California coach Rod Dedeaux--the winningest coach in the history of college baseball. He taught me everything about baseball. He taught me more how to win than anybody else. Dick Williams is another. He knew how to win, too.
