The government is upbeat about the upsurge in the telecom sector in India and has planned an expenditure of $3,945.36 million on this sector, especially in providing cellular connections. State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will provide 6.5 million new cellular connections and 1 million fixed-line connections during the current fiscal year.
