Historically, youth work in Australia has been linked to the value-driven activities of various organisations and institutions. The current study uses qualitative methodology to identify the values underlying current youth studies degree curricula; to determine the ideological or philosophical worldviews represented in these values; and to reflect on the implications of these value systems for various reforms occurring in youth worker training and professionalisation areas.
