Carlsberg to close breweries
Carlsberg's plan to close a large number of its European breweries will not affect the UK, a spokesman has told OLN. The company plans to cut 14 of its 29 European breweries to concentrate on expanding in Asia, according to press reports from Denmark. But Carlsberg's UK breweries in Northampton and Leeds will not be among the closures, customer development director Chris Phillips told OLN. 'There is absolutely nothing in that story that has affected the UK.
