Oct. 25--President Bush picked an academic from Princeton's ivy-covered halls to fill what many consider to be the most important job in America besides his own -- Fed chairman.
He tapped Ben Bernanke, who currently heads the President's Council of Economic Advisers, to replace the esteemed Alan Greenspan, who has held the post since the Reagan era.
