Oct. 24--LITERACY CELEBRATION SELLS OUT: Former First Lady Barbara Bush's
A Celebration of Reading Dallas 2005 is sold out, netting nearly $700,000 for her campaign against illiteracy. The event is tonight at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel.
Major donors include:
$50,000 -- Gina and Chuck Norris.
$30,000 -- Electronic Data Systems Corp., Exxon Mobil Corp., Nancy Ann and Ray L. Hunt, Dee Ann and Marshall Payne, Cheryl and Sam Wyly, and Dee and Charles Wyly.
