BRADENTON -- Thirteen-year-old Skyler Will rides his skateboard home from school and around his neighborhood, but to try more daring tricks he heads to skate parks in Tampa or Sarasota.
Soon he'll have another option closer to home.
An old roller hockey rink at G.T. Bray Park in west Bradenton is expected to become Manatee County's newest skate park. The county plans to begin seeking input for the $80,000 park, which will be larger than an existing skateboard park in Palmetto.
