SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- The defense chiefs of South Korea and the United States were to meet Friday in talks expected to focus on readjusting the role of American troops in the Asian country.

U. S. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld arrived in Seoul Thursday afternoon for the annual one-day security meeting with his South Korean counterpart, Yoon Kwang-ung. Rumsfeld also planned to meet President Roh Moo-hyun and Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon before leaving South Korea on Saturday.
