The debate on whether to call them "impersonators" or "tribute artists" is the easy part. The tougher task is figuring out whether some of these popular Las Vegas acts are doing theater, a lounge show or a costume party.

The Riviera's Le Bistro Theatre has tributes to Neil Diamond and Frank Sinatra, from Jay White and Kevin Cavenagh, respectively, on Monday nights. Seeing them back to back, it sometimes seemed both shows had been thrown into the teleporter from the old sci-fi movie "The Fly" and emerged with parts of one scrambled into the other.

White lets his bandmates call him "Neil." He says things like, "We did this one at end of...
