The search and replace tool in your word processor can save you hours of labour. We'll be concentrating on Microsoft Word, but other heavyweights such as Star/Open Office and Wordperfect are similarly well-endowed. A couple of safety tips here: always make a backup of a document before doing a large-scale replace and try 'Find Next' and 'Replace' a few times before committing yourself to a 'Replace All'.
When you paste text from an external source there is a return at the end of every line, so Word treats each line as a separate paragraph.
