IN SPITE OF THE PROTECTION THEY AFFORD, THERE ARE TIMES WHEN FULL-COVERAGE HELMETS CAN BE IN YOUR WAY. A SLOW PUTT DOWN A SCENIC ROAD WITH FREQUENT STOPS FOR CHATTING UP YOUR RIDING BUDDY AND TAKING PHOTOS COMES TO MIND.
The obvious alternative is an open-faced lid, which I haven't felt comfortable wearing since I first put my noggin into a Bell Star 120 back in the '70s. There's just something about the face-meets-street scenario that prevents me from baring my countenance to the elements anymore.
