Hailed as the largest vintage motorcycle event in the Western Hemisphere, many thousands were on hand for Vintage Motorcycle Days 2005. With the wide range of events, more than 1,000 competitors and more than 1,100 registered vendors, it is clear that interest in older motorcycles continues to grow.

The Barber Museum's Brian Slark described it as even bigger: "Largest vintage motorcycle competition event in the world." He cited the many types of bikes competing at the single site, from trials to vintage Grand Prix. "There are similar vintage events in Europe," Slark said, "but they are more spread out. For one location, this is it."
