Ohio sniper suspect Charles McCoy Jr. had a 9 mm pistol and 80 rounds of ammunition at the Las Vegas motel where he was captured last month, according to police documents the Review-Journal obtained Wednesday.
Police seized the semiautomatic Beretta handgun in McCoy's room at a Budget Suites just off the Strip, behind the Stardust.
Late Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff Bill Young said he did not know whether McCoy, who was unarmed at the time of his arrest, planned to target Las Vegas drivers or residents.
