Las Vegas will sue the owners of the dilapidated Sky Vue Mobile Home Park because it is an imminent threat to health and safety, the City Council unanimously decided Wednesday.

"We're seeking permission for a lawsuit to address conditions that are illegal and, I would argue, unconscionable," City Attorney Brad Jerbic told the council.

In addition to addressing health and safety hazards, Las Vegas' lawsuit against Sky Vue, 15 W. Owens Ave., would seek to recover costs the city has incurred dealing with problems at the park.
