ANAHEIM, Calif. _ Forty-six years of frustration melted beneath a cool October rain for Chicago's Other Team here Sunday night.

Forty-six years littered with painful memories of Disco Demolition and Harry Caray's defection, Albert Belle's signing and Tom Gamboa's beating, all disappeared beneath a seasonlong run of sustained excellence and a grinder's sensibility.
The Chicago White Sox are back in the World Series. Finally.
