Oct. 15--For Paul Esposito, today is the most painful day of the year.

"Sometimes I don't think about what happened to me," he said last week. "At other times, like now, it's at the front of my mind. I have nightmares."

Esposito, 26, lost both his legs when a Staten Island ferry smashed into a dock two years ago today.

He owes his life to a quick-thinking British tourist who stemmed his loss of blood.
