Oct. 8--OCALA, Fla. -- Forest High School teacher Beth Collins focused her classes on violence awareness last week.
But a sign just west of the high school, one that many students see on their way to school each day, offered a darker message: "TAKE YOUR EX-WIFE OUT," it read. "ONE BULLET OUGHTTA DO IT."
The marquee sign in front of Hercules Fence and Good Guys Auto Repair has been a familiar sight to drivers heading southeast on Maricamp Road to Silver Springs Shores for several years. However, Collins and others complain that messages in recent months have often been misogynistic, racist or otherwise offensive.
