1 Tulsa-based Oneok Texas Energy Resources LP tested 21 bbl. of oil and 65 bbl. of water a day from a Travis Peak discovery within the Longview, Texas, city limits. The #11 Maud Smith Gas Unit I is in William H. Castleberry Survey, A-38, in Gregg County, Texas (RRC 6). Oneok tested the well through a 36/64-in. choke with 50 psi of flowing tubing pressure from perforations between 7,614-33 ft. in the 7,912-ft. well. The well is surrounded by Cotton Valley gas wells in White Oak field and Woodbine wells in East Texas Field. The nearest Travis Peak production is 2.7 miles south-southeast in Willow Springs Field, IHS Energy says.
2 Samson Lone Star LP, Tulsa, has an apparent new pool discovery with its #1H Douglass Gas Unit "6" near Douglass West Field in northern Nacogdoches County, Texas (RRC 6). The well flowed 1.01 million cu. ft. of gas, one bbl. of condensate and 167 bbl. of water from openhole James Lime between 8,879 and 13,900 ft. Samson measured the flow through a 19/64-in. choke with 600 psi of flowing tubing pressure. The well is in Manuel de los Santos Coy Survey, A-21. Other wells in the field have produced from Woodbine, Pettet and Travis Peak since 1967. The closest James Lime production is 4.25 miles east-southeast where a Nacogdoches East Field well has produced 159.04 million cu. ft. of gas, 77 bbl. of condensate and 6,006 bbl. of water, according to IHS Energy.
