In 2004, Shane Hitt found himself in unfamiliar territory as he suffered a severe leg injury. He battled back from what could have been a career-ending injury to race in four of seven events that year. He won Round 5 and placed on the podium in the final two events. He has yet to win or place on the podium since. That's odd for a man who won the pro TT title every year from 1999 to 2002. In fact, him not finishing on the podium is as odd as racing with four flat tires. Yes, he's that good.
