DENVER, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Denver-based Liberty Global Inc. will pay $2.186 billion to buy Cablecom Holdings AG, Switzerland's largest broadband cable operator.

LGI, a major cable operator, is paying the money to shareholders led by Apollo Management, TowerBrook Capital Partners and Goldman Sachs affiliates.
