Sep. 26--When the sad, shrouded hulk that used to be the Deutsche Bank tower is finally torn down, 35 apartments in Larry Devine's condo project will have a full frontal view of Ground Zero.
But some potential buyers actually prefer those apartments over the others at 120 Greenwich St. -- specifically because of the view. Devine knows. They've told him so.
"You'll be able to see all the way to Tribeca -- across the memorial and Calatrava's PATH station," he said. "We expect demand to be the strongest for this view."
Devine's condo project is one of a pair of private developments getting under way on a block shadowed by the doomed Deutsche Bank tower.
